Privacy Policy
CurioTab is built to be privacy friendly. We do not track you and we do not collect personal data.
Last updated: November 2025
1. Overview
CurioTab ("we", "our", or "us") provides a Chrome extension and website that display curated product deals and redirect users to retailers through affiliate links. CurioTab is designed to be privacy first. We do not collect, store, or sell personal information about individual users.
2. Information We Do Not Collect
When you use CurioTab, we do not collect:
- Names, email addresses, or contact details
- Browsing history or search queries
- Click data tied to you personally
- IP addresses or device identifiers for tracking purposes
- Cookies or identifiers linked to a user profile
- Analytics or usage statistics from the extension or website
CurioTab does not run analytics scripts, tracking pixels, or third party advertising code on the extension or site.
3. Local Extension Data (stored only on your device)
The CurioTab browser extension may store basic preferences locally in your browser, for example:
- Theme or display choices
- Local shortcuts or bookmarks you configure
- Layout or widget visibility settings
This information is stored only on your device (for example in Chrome sync storage or local storage) and is never sent to us or used to track you.
4. Optional weather widget
CurioTab may include an optional weather widget. This feature is disabled by default. If you choose to enable it, your browser may share an approximate location (for example, city level) with a weather data provider so that current conditions can be displayed.
CurioTab does not receive or store your location. We do not keep logs of weather lookups. Any location use for weather is handled by the browser and the weather provider under their own privacy policies.
5. Affiliate links and redirects
CurioTab uses affiliate links to retailers such as Amazon. When you click a deal, your browser first loads a simple static redirect page hosted by us, and then takes you to the retailer's website.
CurioTab does not use this redirect step to profile users. We do not attach identifiers, and we do not build click histories. Our hosting provider may keep standard server logs (for example, IP address and user agent in access logs), but we do not use those logs for advertising, analytics, or user tracking.
As part of programs like Amazon Associates we may receive aggregated reports that show total clicks, orders, and commissions. These reports do not identify individual users.
6. Third party services and Chrome
CurioTab runs inside Google Chrome and other Chromium based browsers. Your use of the browser itself is governed by its own privacy policy, which is separate from ours.
When you leave CurioTab and visit a retailer or other third party site, your activity there is governed by that site's privacy policy and terms. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their practices.
7. Children's privacy
CurioTab is intended for general audiences. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Because we do not collect user data, we have no way to identify or profile individual users, including children.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Changes take effect when they are posted here.
